Everything starts with a Happy Head!

I always like to do something a bit different over the summer season and once again, like last summer, I’ve picked a topic that deserves some space on my blog. My aim this year is to help to lessen the stigma of mental illness and depression and start the conversation. I want to get us talking about our heads because it’s ok to.

So I’ll be blogging and inviting others to blog with me over the summer and we’ll be sharing ideas, insights and positive stories. I’ll be tweeting about positivity and mood and this will be #HappyHeads, so do join in. For those who experience SAD and low mood I have also created a 10 week Happy Heads Programme to share my years of experience and teach you how get to a brighter place, in a creative and of course positive way.

I myself was diagnosed with clinical depression in 1999, I now know it actually went back to childhood and since 2000 I’ve managed my mental wellbeing myself . I’m often told I am positive and yes I am but I can have not so great days and bad times. My secret is simple, I always gravitate towards the positive and that’s where I want to be and belong. I Know what this positive place looks and feels like and I always know that I can create that brighter place once more. I have mood buddies too, people that just get it, I can empty my head and get on with life.  Weebles wobble and they don’t fall down…

So Happy Heads the Programme or #HappyHeads on Twitter and the blogs are all about me helping ‘you’ to create a more positive outlook and manage your mood more effectively. They’ll be a downloadable 10 week Programme, so I’ll share that when it’s ready. I want to teach you what you CAN do! AND if the blogs encourage you to ask for help, speak to your GP or tell someone there’s a problem then that will be great too!

Remember…Everything starts with a Happy Head
